Born in Hawaii and raised in a small town in Prince George’s County, Maryland, Dr. Scott developed her passion for animals early in life while caring for the family’s diverse pets, which ranged from cats to turtles.
Though she initially dreamed of becoming a writer due to her love of books, Dr. Scott found her true calling in veterinary medicine. She gained valuable experience working at a VCA Animal Hospital in Pennsylvania before earning her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Scott finds particular fulfillment in watching her patients grow alongside their families and has a special interest in surgical procedures. While she identifies as a cat person at heart, she looks forward to welcoming a dog into her home in the coming year.
Family holds a central place in Dr. Scott’s life, including her two beloved sisters and her fiancé, whom she also considers her best friend. Outside the clinic, she enjoys outdoor running, meal preparation, and occasionally indulging in television marathons. Dr. Scott is passionate about world travel and exploring the diverse restaurant and bar scene in New York City.
