Low-Cost Veterinary Options

Low-Cost Veterinary Options

Bronx Veterinary Center understands that pet care costs can be challenging, especially when faced with an unforeseen or critical health issue. While BVC cannot offer free veterinary care to those in need (though we wish we could!), many resources and options are available.

The following organizations may be able to provide low-cost veterinary care:

ASPCA Animal Hospital
424 E 92nd St.
New York, NY 10128

Assistance is available by appointment only to NYC residents with an annual household income under $50,000 and a pet with a qualifying medical condition. Please call (646) 259-4080 to inquire about eligibility or appointment availability, or click here for the Services Guide.

ASPCA Community Veterinary Centers: Brooklyn and the Bronx
If you are a resident of Brooklyn or the Bronx with an annual household income of under $50,000, call 844-MY-ASPCA (844-692-7722) for information or to inquire about an appointment at the ASPCA’s Community Veterinary Center in your borough. Please note these are not emergency clinics.

Humane Society of New York
306 E. 59th St (between 1st and 2nd Avenues)
New York, NY 10022

Open seven days a week; appointments only.
To inquire about services, please call (212) 752-4840 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. and allow 24-48 hours for a return call.

Bronx Veterinary Center: Community Support

The Princess Bubblegum Foundation

The Princess Bubblegum Foundation is a partnership between the Veterinary Care Foundation and Bronx Veterinary Center created to honor Princess Bubblegum, whose owners were facing the possibility of humane euthanasia due to the costs of treating her severe health conditions. Through community support and a brave, unwavering spirit, Princess Bubblegum recovered and thrived. This fund is entirely donation-backed and dedicated to offering funding opportunities for discounted and no-charge cases when all other options have failed.
