Rubi was born and raised in Chicago and grew up surrounded by all kinds of animals, including reptiles, birds, fish, and dogs. From an early age, Rubi knew they wanted to work in the veterinary field and went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Biology (Pre-Health). With over 13 years of experience in veterinary medicine, Rubi has worked in a variety of roles, including shift lead, CSR, and veterinary technician, gaining a well-rounded perspective of clinic operations. What Rubi enjoys most is advocating for animals and educating clients to help pets live healthier lives. At home, Rubi has a Standard Bull Terrier and a Schnauzer—and while dogs are a favorite, pigs hold a special place in their heart. Outside of work, Rubi enjoys staying active at the gym, playing soccer, traveling, going to concerts, and is always down to try something new.
